Time to Feng Shui Your Thoughts

In the human thought process, the old saying goes, "I'll believe it when I see it!" In the spiritual realm, the reality is, "I'll see it when I believe it!"

There's no question that our thoughts create our reality, our experiences. Our negative, skeptical, doubting thoughts produce an energy guaranteed to block;

1) Our free flowing connection with spirit.

2) A happy and productive earthly experience.

3) Success in our endeavors.

4) A true and accurate view of what this human earth experience is all about.

James Allen penned his powerful treatise As A Man Thinketh based on the aphorism, "As a man thinketh in his heart so is he!" To paraphrase this genius philosopher -- "You become what you believe you are!"

You ask; "Life sucks!!! How can I help what I think?" I know what I've experienced -- and my experiences lend to my thoughts and beliefs about life. They are based an fact! I can't change that!"

(For those who think and feel that way, I ask you to read the article from one of our prior newsletters You Aren't Who You Think You Are! )

You are NOT the sum of your experiences. You are not your body. You are not what others have defined you to be and caused you to believe about yourself. Time to wake up to that truth!

To change your life — change your thoughts! Change your thoughts about yourself, about life, about what you can or cannot accomplish, about what others in your life should be, or how they should act. Free Will is a great gift given to us by the Creator. It's a great teacher in the soul-growth-learning-process.

You have choice available to you. You can chose to remain unhappy, unfulfilled, seeing yourself as unworthy, mired in self-pity, grief, doubt, and all the other negative adjectives you can think of — or, chose to leave that life behind, in search of what once seemed unattainable to you. It begins with your THOUGHTS!

As a young man I was led to pick up the small booklet As A Man Thinketh! by James Allen. I credit it for changing my life, by changing my thoughts. How fortunate I Felt, then, and now! I carried that book in my back pocket for a good ten years. Whenever a free moment appeared, I'd read a paragraph. It's that kind of book you can open at random and be touched by the message.

TEN YEARS? Yep! It took that long to put it all into practice. Attribute that to being a slow learner -- or a motivated-to-grow young man! You know, it DOES take work and determination to change your thinking, your life. If you are motivated to do so, all you need to do is get off your emotional rear end, and try your best to get in the game! Your choice! (I'm not totally there yet — but happy to say I'm still open to learning!)

Get a copy for yourself! You can start at any age, at any stage. It will be a benefit to you. Here's a website that gives you the entire book — free.

Quick Fix to a Drab Day

We humans are always on the lookout for something that reaps great benefit with little effort on our part. May I suggest the following?

Get more great music into your daily regimen. It can be done in several ways. Playing music as background to your daily activities, and, as your time allows, use it as a main course. A sit-down-meal where you take a 15-minute break, put the headphones on and let your mind focus on the beautiful sounds. Music will transport you as nothing else can — to relax, to stir, to inspire, to invigorate, to produce, to change, to grow.

During the early to mid morning, more likely than not you'll hear the beautiful sounds of Peter Sterling's CD Harp Dreams or Harp Magic wafting through the Sanderford household! What a way to begin the day.

Those of you who have attended one of our Creative Spirit or Freeing Your Spirit retreats have likely been blessed to hear Peter perform in person. Always one of our conference highlights. Visit this Grammy Nominee's website at harpmagic.com, pick out the CD that seems to draw your attention, and start your journey into that other divine place. Drab day — AWAY!

Questions

Questions — We Get Questions!

Hi Susan & Milt,

Sad to admit, but leading a rather boring life, over the past ten or so years I've found myself living vicariously through your experiences and travels. Would you please share your very favorite places visited? (A top five would be great!)

MP

Hi MP,

Glad to help you with that "bored" problem you're dealing with. Our time together over the past 15-years indeed has been anything but — and we enjoy every minute of it — even the times you might feel are "boring". As to places we've visited and things we've experienced, I'd have to put on the top of the list, our visit to Uluru, Australia. (Also known as Ayers Rock.)

#1 — Deep into the rugged Australian outback, (Almost 3,000 kilometers from Sydney, is the sacred place the Aboriginal people believe the world began -- Uluru. While there we visited with these mild mannered people who welcomed us with open arms. They showed us how they lived, how fire was made using animal dung, how to throw a spear, and how to live off the land.

A time we will never forget, with these Native Australians who were so ruthlessly treated. Little did we know at the time of our visit, within months we would wind up living in Australia for almost two years. (Spirit has an interesting way of making things happen!)

#2 — Would be the beautiful city on the danube river, Vienna, Austria. We've visited several times, and our emotional reactions to places like the Schoenbrunn Palace and the stables that housed the famous Lipizzan Stallions, caused us to feel a a strong past life connection to this magnificent city. And yes, we took a two hour cruise down the beautiful river for which the famous Strauss Blue Danube Waltz was written.

The shops, cobbled streets, magnificent churches, all make for a wondrous experience.

#3 — The "Other World" village of Medjugorje, Bosnia ranks high on our list for spiritual experiences. Like Lourdes and Fatima, it's a mecca for the Catholic faithful, -- a place of miracles, the spinning sun, and Mother Mary's continued daily visits with the children since 1981. This is where Susan first met Mother Mary, and where Jesus extended His own personal physical miracle to Susan and me. Susan's been there three times, me just once.

It's a place where time literally stands still, and you cry at the thought of leaving -- as we did after our three week stay together.

#4 — Sydney, Australia. A relatively small city, and very cosmopolitan. The harbor is beautiful and we had a chance to cruise it several times. Our visit to the famous Opera House was one of many highlights.

#5 — Sedona, Arizona. The land of the amazing red rock formations, and energy vortices Native-Americans have been credited with the expression, "GOD made the Grand Canyon — but He lives in Sedona!" We feel at home here. Great energy, amazing visual beauty.

Now you got me started. I could go on and on — in fact, a book might result from your question. Two events stand out as unforgettable experiences while in Australia. We visited the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary just north of Brisbane and spent most of the day in a vast multi-acre enclosure with hundreds of kangaroo. What amazing energy these beautiful animals have. To pet them, feed, sit and lay down next to them as they slept, never felt anything like it, before — or since.

The second was boating among the humpback wales in the South Pacific off the Gold Coast of Australia the week before we left to return to the States. Our Aussie friends treated us to this Farewell & Please Return adventure. Amazing. We truly hated to leave this wonderful country (and wonderful people) down under.

Thanks for taking us back down memory lane M.

Jury Duty and the Medium

Yes, Susan was summoned for Jury Duty in this sleepy town this week. It happened to be a jury formed to decide the fate of a father who shot and killed his 20 year old son. As she sat through a series of interrogations to determine her possible selection to be a juror -- the accused father came into the room. Susan was enveloped with an overwhelming sense of his sadness and remorse.

As she watched the father, the deceased son told Susan, "It's my fault! I provoked my Dad and enraged him. I want him to know I am so sorry, and that I still love him. And, I know he still loves me. I am proud he is my Dad and I will stand with him no matter what."

A moral dilemma was presented to Susan. Could she now be impartial in making a decision in the case? Of course not. She heard the son taking on responsibility. She was bathed in the beauty that is produced by Divine love and forgiveness.

At Susan's request, a meeting took place in chambers. Susan, the judge, the attorneys, and the accused father. Susan shared "I talk to dead people and thought you should know this!" The defense attorney wanted no part of this medium being on the jury panel. She was excused.

Now Susan is trying to find a way to get the message to the father that his son does not hold this against him, that he takes responsibility on himself, and that he loves his father. The following day the father agreed to a plea bargain and is awaiting sentencing.

And life goes on.
